The Gigabyte AERO X16 gaming laptop is equipped with a 16" 2560x1600 165Hz IPS display, AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 CPU, GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 85W TGP, 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The AMD Ryzen 7 350 is a 2025 processor with 8 cores, 16 threads, a max boost clock speed of 5GHz, and a discrete NPU to boost AI performance.
The RTX 5070 mobile GPU delivers solid gaming performance. This particular variant is slightly throttled to 85W TGP, but the performance hit is insignificant. You will more likely notice the reduced heat and longer battery life that comes with a lower wattage GPU. The GeForce RTX 5070 will run most games at 60fps on the 2560x1600 resolution display, although some settings may have to be adjusted on more demanding titles. The RTX 5070 will perform even better in games with DLSS 4.5 support, including Pragmata, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and 007 First Light. Compared to the previous generation of GPUs, it's about 10% more powerful than the RTX 4070 mobile.
A nice bonus is that this laptop comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I'm used to seeing 16GB of memory at this price range. RAM prices are still at an all-time high and not expected to go down anytime soon.
