The Switch 2 Pro controller is arguably the best gamepad for the Nintendo Switch 2 console, but not everyone wants to pay $90 for it. Instead, why not consider the original Switch Pro controller - which has identical build quality and ergonomics and native Switch 2 compatibility - for 40% less?
As part of Nintendo's Customer Appreciation Sale that runs through through September 26, Amazon and Walmart are selling the original Nintendo Switch Pro controller for just $55.97 with free shipping. I recently posted a similar deal earlier this month, but they were for used units. This time around, you're getting one that's brand new and retail boxed.

Cosmetically, the Switch Pro and Switch 2 Pro controller look nearly the same apart from the color: the Switch Pro is smoke gray and the Switch 2 Pro is black. Both feature the same excellent build quality and heft that sets this controller apart from most other third party controllers.
Despite the fact that it's compatible, there are some features the original Switch Pro lacks. The Switch Pro controller cannot wake the console up, so you'll have to manually power it on. The Switch Pro controller doesn't have the two rear paddle switches, GameChat button, and headphone jack that the Switch 2 Pro has. Although the Switch Pro controller supports HD rumble with haptic feedback, the new Switch 2 Pro controller has upgraded "HD Rumble 2".
