Songs heard in the GTA 6 Extended Look have seen massive growth across streaming platforms. As expected, Rockstar has opened the door for many songs found in the game to millions of new fans.
Spotify, Billboard and Shazam have each revealed some extraordinary stats involving many pieces of music heard in last week’s gameplay reveal. We’ll be taking a look at all of the data published so far. This comes after over the Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look achieved over 31 million views on Netflix alone in just a few days.
Starting with Spotify who shared data with EDM.com, the biggest spike in streams was for “But I Think It’s A Dream” by Captain & Tennille. Global streams climbed a incredible 130,730% and 885,400% in playlist additions.
“Inner Light” by Bob Moses and Elderbrook saw a 1070% increase in plays on the platform. Playlist additions grew by 4155%. Depeche Mode’s “People Are People” got a 190% increase in plays but a 700% jump in playlist additions. All 15 tracks from the Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look were put into a playlist by Spotify called Grand Theft Auto Radio and can be found below.
According to reputable data source Luminate via Billboard, several songs featured in the Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look last week had a massive influx of streams. The data found below is the total official on-demand US streams during the period of August 28th-31st compared to the equivalent period the prior week.
Devil Woman, Inner Light and Se Me Nota also entered the top 10 of Shazam’s United States Top 200 chart, with. The former topped the list with 1,011,149 Shazams. Devil Woman had 1,048,577 per Shazam.
