Been wandering around Bail Dilas earlier, and it's certainly easier. There are areas that used to have lots of wandering elites for no readily apparent reason, now they just hang around the roads, and wander up and down the roads, and are still elites. Quite a few of what were signatures are now normals, which also makes it easier.
Bail Grundail, which relates to a group quest (I assume), is still multiple elites to deal with. Bogbereth's cave looks the same as it did before.
Some bits of Imlad Balchroth are easier, others are harder.
The area north of Gabilshathur is easier to avoid aggro now, and isn't orc infested any more - which fits better with them not finding and overrunning the dwarf camp, tbh.
Didn't notice many differences in Aughaire, as I just passed through it. The Aurochs weren't particularly aggressive before, though, so if they are no longer elite it's not a big deal.
Another improvement - The 'Champions' quests, now start with papers that are identifiable (so you know which you have and haven't got, rather than just seeing 'Black Incantation'), have to be taken to Gath Fornir, not Rivendell, and drop for everyone in the group, not just for one person. We got some off a named elite messenger.
