When World of Warcraft was barely out of its first month I had already found myself a great guild full of cool people who were fun to hang around with. One of the officers of the guild had taken in a kitten recently to take care of and had fallen in love with it. Sadly, the kitten died not too long after and he was heartbroken.
Feeling sorry for him, having just lost a cat myself, I figured I had to do something to cheer him up. So I spent the next five hours in Stormwind hunting down Lil' Timmy who sells the white kitten pet. Lucky for me he spawned and I was able to buy the cat and send it off to my friend with a nice letter.
When I logged on later that day he had returned and had received my letter. He was so moved he was literally crying into his microphone over TeamSpeak while he thanked me. He told me it was, "The most amazing thing I have ever seen anyone do in a game like this". And as we continued to level he kept the white kitten by his side, into Molten Core and beyond.
